Im posting for a friend with metatastic squamous cell cancer. Theres
not much more that traditional medicine can do for her and she is
looking into alternative cancer clinics, such as the ones in Tijuana.
Has anyone been treated at an alternative clinic for squamous cell
cancer, and if so, what was the result? |
| Let me tell you a story about alternative medicine and cancer. Ever read
some of the web pages on those Mexican cancer clinics? Did you believe
their claims? If you believed that Crohns site you probably did buy
into all the cancer clinics hype. |

Has your friend heard of the Gerson Therapy? There are 2 hospitals in
Mexico that do it. My diagnosis of breast cancer was in July 1994. I
have been on the therapy since then and am back to work and feeling
better than ever. It is nutritionally based with juicing and coffee
enemas for detoxification. It also is metabolically based. The Gerson
Institutite can be reached at email:gerson@aol.com and on the Internet
at: http:/www.homepage.com/mall/gerson/gerson.html. Since Oct.1995 the
therapy has been done at Hospital Meridian de Coronado at Playas de
Tijuana. Another hospital was doing the treatment when I was there and
still is. Ir is in the same city in Mexico. Information about CHIPSA
hospital vand be gotten by calling the Gerson Research Organization:
619-759-2966 or fax 616-759-2967. This hospital may be less expensive. |
| So our naturopath went down to the Mexican cancer clinics himself. There
he discovered that some of the people in treatment have never actually
been diagnosed with cancer (but the clinics took their money, treated
them, and claimed them as cures). He picked out a group of patients in
each clinic that he could confirm had cancer (based on his personal
examination of them or an examination of test results from clinics and
doctors he personally knew). Then he followed the patients over the next
few years to see what happened. |

One difference between standard oncology and the many quacks that
post to this group is that most oncologists will tell you, honestly and
without the bull..., when a cancer is incurable, and when treatment
might have value in terms of prolongation of life or quality of life.
The variety of regimens practiced in Mexico range from 5-FU (a standard
drug for adenoca) plus laetril to very aggressive (and in my opinion,
bizarre) regimens with coffee enemas (to clean the syst. |
